Lake Tour Lønavatnet

Our Lake Tour to Lønavatnet takes you to a quiet lake about 15 minutes out of Voss, usually providing ideal conditions for beginners and first time paddlers.

The lake is situated below Lønahorgi, the highest mountain nearby Voss and the scenery is very pretty.

The tour is graded easy and we introduce you to the area by combining kayaking with a brief visit to some of the areas local attractions.

This includes a stop at Nesheimstunet, a gathering of local farm buildings from which some date back some 400 years. All being from the nearby surroundings of Voss, they have been re-erected on this spot and give insight in how life in Norway has been over the last centuries. Different examples of local building styles from centuries ago are seen here.

We continue paddling and make for a stop on a small island in the middle of the lake.
Here we take a rest and prepare a barbeque while relaxing for an hour or so.
We then kayak back to our starting point and return to Voss.

We offer kids aged 15 or less a discount if accompanied by parents.
We have special small sized paddle gear suitable for kids aged 6-12, providing them a comfortable experience and introduction to kayaking.

Tour departure at 10 Am. Must be pre-booked.
Price per person: 925,- / kids 595,-
Includes transport, instruction and a barbeque lunch.
Minimum 4 people booked on in order to run a tour.
