Nordic
Ventures are looking to hire Key Staff employees for our operation in Norway.
We are situated in Gudvangen, Western Norway, about 100 km inland from the West
coast and Bergen.
We operate 3 different Adventure activities: Sea Kayaking tours, Multi Day Adventure Tours and
Tandem Paragliding flights. In addition we run Mulitiday
Roundtrips in Norway for independent operators.
Our season runs from late April to early October - the jobs vacant are contracted for 3-6 of these months depending on which job you apply for. All first year guides have to complete an introduction course prior to beginning work. Course is hosted first week of May 2014.
Work
days are varied with good change of workload and plenty of variation. You
will have the chance
to learn and acquire many new skills and work as a team member in our small
crew that consist of some very skilled people, each contributing with expertise
in their own fields. In addition to this the region around

Sea Kayaking guide positions available for 2014 - 6 positions available
Our season runs from late April to early October - the jobs vacant will require you to complete our pre-season training course which is held on May 1st-5th 2014. After completion of the training course your contracted work period begins.
Work
days are varied with good change of workload and plenty of variation. You
will have the chance
to learn and acquire many new skills and work as a team member in a our small
crew that consist of some very skilled people, each contributing with expertise
in their own fields.
Daily work will be concentrated around all aspects of our Sea Kayaking Operation with focus on guiding but will also include responsibility for maintenance of equipment etc.
For 2014 we are relocating our base to Gudvangen and we will need guides with the ability to make this move successful in any aspect. Carpentry and building skills will be considered an advantage and the work season will be longer in 2014 than usual due to preparations and initial start of construction of our new base. For 2-3 guides we will offer a 5-6 month contract.
We are obviously hoping to find guides willing to return for consecutive seasons.
A work contract will be specifying all details – by contract we will provide:
• Training to get you operational according to company standards at no cost.
• A minimum monthly salary of average 4-5000 US$
• We will apply for and arrange a work permit for the right person
• We will provide help sorting out accommodation upon your arrival
in Norway
In order to apply for the position you should have previous experience in
some or all of the following fields:
• Sea Kayak guiding commercially for at least 2 seasons. Be a rated
instructor ( SKOANZ - BSI or similar )
• Hold a valid drivers license for a minibus with a trailer + passenger
endorsement ( 17 seater )
• Fluent in English and strong Communication Skills
• Technical understanding and a quick learner ( our season is short!
)
• Great people skills and client focused.
• Safety
conscious and first aid certified.
• Other keywords: Life experience, Outdoor enthusiast, Team player,
Fit, Neat appearance
• Non Smoker.

Parasailing boat driver position available for 2012 - 1 position available
Our
season runs from late April to early October - the job vacant will require you
to work for
5 of these months ( 1st of May to 30th of September)

days are varied with good change of workload and plenty of variation. You
will have the chance
to learn and acquire many new skills and work as a team member in a our small
crew that consist of some very skilled people, each contributing with expertise
in their own fields.
Daily work will be concentrated around all aspects of operating our boat for the towed up Paragliding flights and will in addition to flying / jumping clients also include responsibility for maintenance of equipment.
We are obviously hoping to find somebody willing to return for consecutive seasons.
A work contract will be specifying all details – by contract we will provide:

Paid for training to get you operational according to company standards and
safety requirements
• A minimum monthly salary of average 4.000 – 4.500 US$ depending on skills
• We will apply for and arrange a work permit for the right person
• We can provide help sorting out accommodation before arrival in Norway
