globeThe two main gateways for arriving into Norway by air is either Oslo or Bergen. If your main purpose for visiting Norway is to see the most spectacular parts of the country – including the World famous Norwegian fjords – we strongly recommend choosing Bergen as entry point, even if your ticket costs will be a little more than if flying to Oslo.

If you arrive by ferry the main gateways are usually Larvik, Kristiansand, Stavanger and Bergen, all situated on the South or West coast of Norway. If you prefer less driving we recommend sailing to Bergen even though ferry tickets are more expensive. If you want a cheaper ferry ticket and willing to take a very scenic drive up to 7-8 hours through Southern Norway up to the fjord region, we recommend choosing Kristiansand as point of entry.

So once in Norway, what should you see and do?

Well, many guide books has been written about that and we can recommend taking a look at those for some unbiased information. It will also greatly depend on your personal interests but there are however some highlights we think every tour to Norway should include.
